Yahoo! kicks off Fantasy Baseball '14 with new features
With the close of the door of fantasy football there opens another to fantasy baseball. Yahoo, the leading fantasy game provider opens its 2014 fantasy baseball game with new features.
Fantasy Baseball '14 comes updated with a new look and feel that will include both dark and light background that is similar to what was offered for Fantasy Football. In addition, in order to increase continued activity in its season long games, the game site has improved the Smacktalk feature so that you can talk with the best of them in your league. The site also claims decreased start up and registration times with improved workflow for league setup.
Mobile apps are also not to be ignored this year, with the Yahoo Fantasy Baseball apps available on both iPhone and Android apps. There has been no announced plans for Windows phone. With the apps, fantasy owners will now be able to participate in draft and even mock drafts. 24/7 drafts are also now available so that around the clock drafts can occur and world wide players can take advantage of participating in leagues this year.
Content partnership continues with Rotoworld as it did with Fantasy Football to provide league owners with the latest player news and injuries. The game provider also claims that there will be more information on minor league players so that insightful owners can dig deep to get those diamonds in the rough.
League owners can also participate in pay leagues called Yahoo Pro Leagues. The smallest amount to enter is $20 per team. For the Pro20 league , $120 payout is for 1st, $70 for 2nd and $30 payout for 3rd. Interested league owners can step up to $50, $100 and $250. In the Pro250 leagues, the 1st place player wins $1500.
